Beginner-Intermediate - 10+ Miles
This is a great place to hit up some singletrack with your kids or folks new to mountain biking.  Fun, fast, and flowy with not a lot of elevation gain. This has a little bit of everything from rooty sections to rocky. All in all a smooth, fun ride.

Intermediate-Advanced - 19+ Miles
Do you love rocks? Then you'll love Salado. This is  a  singletrack that for the most part is not suited for beginning riders along most of the sections, but there are a few  long enough to give them a gentle nudge toward advancing their technical skills without being too intimidating.

Beginner-3 Miles
Beginner-friendly, two loop system. Savanna loop is 1.84 miles. Oak Loop trail adds another.  The West side of the park will eventually be linked with the East side of the park adding another 2 or so miles of biking on the gravel trail. The east side of the park is already linked to Salado Creek (paved and MTB trails), Plans are in the works that will eventually connect to Walker Ranch Park and McAllister Park.

Beginner-Intermediate - 25 Miles
This park has a lot of rocky terrain. There is even a homemade BMX style area where you can fly in the air like birds (just watch the low hanging branches). There is a really good single-track trail that follows a dry creek bed for miles. There are also some fun drops and downhill sections for the free ride gals and guys. The upper part of the park is a decent area for beginners but it gets a little more technical down in the lower end of the park along of creek bed.

Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced - 26.5 Miles
Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Government Canyon is broken down into two  areas , the  Front Country and Back Country. The Front Country is well suited to beginning riders, fast and flowy with a few root and loose rock sections. The Back Country is very technical consisting of mostly rock gardens and quad burning elevation gain. Beginning to intermediat riders should not be put off by this becasue Government Canyon is an ideal place to advance your technical skills.
Quick tip: ride this trail system clockwise unless you have your heart set on spending some hike-a-bike time.

Intermediate-Advanced - 8.75 Miles
The Madrone Trail is in Canyon Lake on an Army Corps of Engineering site. A great place to hone your rock garden skills and endurance. The majority of this trail winds through thick tree coverage and has some great views of Canyon Lake.
