- Since
its introduction in 2002, the Ottrott has set the standard for the
ultimate in ride quality, durability, comfort and performance together
in one bicycle. Today's Ottrott uses our latest Integrated
Technology to extract the best properties of carbon fiber and titanium
for drive-train stiffness, responsiveness and absorption of road
vibration. The Ottrott is an exceptional bike for long miles in the
saddle, aggressive climbs and rapid descents. Like every Serotta, the
Ottrott is 100% handcrafted in the USA.
Titanium
and carbon have unique qualities that, when appropriately combined,
produce a bike that is more than the sum of its parts. Carbon is light,
stiff and infinitely tunable. Titanium is a durable and resilient
material that makes for a smooth yet snappy ride. The Ottrott's carbon
tubes extend through its Ti lugs and are coped (mitered) to perfectly
intersect the adjoining tube. This allows the torsional rigidity of the
carbon to extend through the entire joint.

Torsion Core™ carbon tubes and 3Al/2.5V titanium with more than 100
stiffness options and an eccentric machined head tube and bottom
bracket shell for reduced weight.

C5IT - Triple Butted 3Al/2.5V Titanium Plus Multi-Modulus Colorado Concept Torsion Core™ Carbon Fiber. C5IT
is a combination of TC5 carbon tubes and Colorado Concept triple butted
3Al/2.5V titanium tubes -- the best of both worlds. Custom tuned for
each individual rider, the C5IT offers the best combination of
performance and comfort in a single bike frame.
