Cour d'Acier - With a lineage that extends more than three decades, the Coeur d'Acier is Serotta's smoothest riding, high-performance steel bike ever. Constructed entirely of Colorado Concept, butted, Columbus Niobium steel tubes, the Coeur d'Acier pays homage to how far steel and our custom technology have come. Lightweight, versatile, fully rider tunable and 100% handcrafted in the USA, this bike is second to none as the all around gold standard for any style of riding.

The 2008 Coeur d' Acier features the most advanced Niobium Spirit steel alloy produced by renowned tubing manufacturer Columbus. Tubes are designed in a range of sizes and butting profiles for rider-specific performance. Today's steel is lighter and stiffer with greater resistance to corrosion than ever before.

The Cour d'Acier  is available in two models based upon the SE or GS custom series:

  • Description:  The Coeur d'Acier SE features a C5S triple butted Columbus Niobium Spirit steel platform with Colorado Concept tapered tubing and multiple stiffness levels
  • Tubing Platform:  C5S Triple Butted Columbus Niobium Spirit Steel.  The most advanced steel alloy produced by renowned tubing manufacturer Columbus. Tubes are designed in a range of sizes and butting profiles. Lighter and stiffer with greater resistance to corrosion than any previous steel alloy. Tube selection delivers rider-specific performance.
  • Top Tube:  Any degree of slope
  • Stay:  CS Carbon Stay with steel stay option
  • Fork:  F3 Fork. 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5 carbon fiber lay-ups provide any rider with the appropriate levels of stiffness and compliance. Multiple rakes allow for unmatched versatility with a wider variety of frame designs. Titanium dropouts and crown race seat improve durability.
