The
legacy of the 96 series frames continues. From the
196 now through the 596, LOOK has continued to prove to be among the cutting edge. With the custom
blend of HM and proprietary
LOOK VHM carbon fiber, the full
monocoque front and rear triangles have been
optimized to be purely efficient. As carbon
naturally absorbs vibrations, the LOOK
patented custom tune-able E Post technology aids in
further smoothening out the ride. The Monoblade fork
has been oft copied but none are like the original.
Our special headset keeps the width of the monoblade
to a minimum without sacrificing lateral stiffness
for precise high speed cornering and acceleration.
The
aerodynamics of all 596’s in our family have been
thoroughly researched and validated in the wind
tunnel. The entire frame has been designed with
specific matching tubesets with meticulously
measured tube profiles. The wheel gaps have been
optimized to address the viscous layer of air that
is the result of spinning wheels. Our gaps allow the
cross flow of air to escape more cleanly, resulting
in a faster frame. Though the perception is to
minimize wheel to frame gap it is definitely not
reality. Our partners in the Formula 1 circuit can
attest to this.
